Our Mission
Keeping Frenchtown Rural
Keeping Frenchtown was born from a collective desire to protect what makes our home special. For decades, the rural character of Frenchtown has defined our lives, but as western Montana grows, we recognize the urgent need to balance progress with preservation.
We are a community-led non-profit committed to maintaining the open spaces, agricultural heritage, and natural beauty that have anchored Frenchtown for generations. Our work is not about stopping time, but about ensuring that the future of Frenchtown remains as grounded and purposeful as its past.
We are currently focusing on an area of concern for many local residents: the proposed travel plaza just north of the I-90 exit. Please see our blog posts below on our efforts in this area.
Please check back soon for additional updates on our efforts. We are working on writing those up and will be adding a blog section to the page soon.
